The Film "H1N1: Virus X," To Premier at Shreikfest in Los Angeles and Eerie Horror Fest in Erie PA

  • (1888PressRelease) September 29, 2010 - The plot of the film centers around five scientists who create a highly evolved version of the H1N1 virus to be used as a weapon. The plan goes awry when the mutated virus becomes airborne. Now it's up to the scientists who only have three days to save themselves and humanity.

    H1N1: Virus X stars LOGOTV'S "the Lair's" Sybil Danning (Halloween, Grindhouse), Domiziano Arcangeli (Bruno, Samurai Avenger: The Blind Wolf), Joe Zaso (Timo Rose's Beast, Angels Blade). The film also features Ms. Danning's Lair costar Dylan Vox (Brides Of Sodon, Titanic 2) newcomer Jai Day, and the former host of HDTV's "Get Out" travel show, Sasha Formoso (The Brotherhood VI: Initiation). Ryan Stevens Harris makes his directorial debut, after winning the Boston International Film Festival Award for Best Cinematography fro the film "Finale, " in 2009. "H1N1: Virus X," was co written by Harris and Jeremiah Campbell from an idea by David Sterling.

    H1N1 will screen at Shreikfest on Friday, October 1,2010 (opening night) at 10:30 pm. This year's Shreikfest will be held at the world famous Raleigh Studios, 5300 Melrose Ave, Hollywood, and Ca 90004. Shreikfest producer Denise Gossett said, "The film really makes you think twice about getting the flu." After an opening gala on Thursday September 30, Shreikfest runs from Friday October 1 through Sunday October 3. The Shreikfest awards ceremony is on Sunday October 3.

    Eerie Horror Fest takes place October 7-10, 2010 at the Warner theatre in Erie PA. H1N1 screens on Friday October 8 at 9:30 pm. Greg Ropp, President of the Erie Horror Film Festival and Expo, said, " H1N1: Virus X, really helped us to set the theme of the festival: "the uncertainty of the future. " Ropp went on, " it is especially gratifying for us to be able to show such a great film with a local fee." Producer and creator David Sterling hails from the Cleveland Ohio area and his parents still reside there. Director Ryan Stevens Harris is from the Columbus Ohio area, where his folks still reside, and Empires films VP Matt Chassin is originally from Buffalo New York , and has family in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area. The Eeire Horror Film Festival and Expo takes place from October 7 through October 10 at the Warner Theatre. The festival also features panel discussions and celebrity appearances.

    H1N1: Virus X also will be featured at Modesto CA's Shockerfest. Shockerfest is completely televised film festival. The festival airs every night on October at 11:00pm. George Baker, the festivals producer claims that the film festival will have a potential audience of over one million. H1N1: Virus X will air on Wednesday, October 6 and Friday October 22. All those connected with the film are hoping that it will air again on Halloween weekend, when the festival's award winners will be announced.
