The Family Of Smt. Kalaimamani D Pattammal Launches A Website In Honour Of Her Legacy
A dedicated website for musicians, musicologists, composers and connoisseurs of carnatic music.

D Pattammal today announced the formal launch of the website 'www.dpattammal.com' in honouring and appreciating the musical legendry of Kalaimamani Smt. D Pattammal. This website takes precedence to the journey of D Pattammal, musician, musicologist and composer, with a vast repertoire of over 650 songs in Tamil and a compilation of over 5000 ragas in her Raga Pravaham.
This website was launched by Padmabushan Shri V P Dhananjayan in the presence of eminent personalities Shri N V Subramaniam, Shri V Ramnarayanan and the family of Smt. D Pattammal. This was followed by a music concert by Shri. Rithwik Raja.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. D Chandrasekhar said "We are proud to launch this website on two counts, first it has been a personal journey of my mother in devoting her lifetime for music, on the other hand, this website may benefit and inspire hordes of music enthusiasts in learning, knowing and updating themselves to various aspects of music".
He added, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the musicians, who not only sang the compositions of my mother, but also allowed us to upload their audio in our website".
This new website offers innumerable compositions of Smt. D Pattammal with notations, there is also a separate section 'Raga Pravaham' which has an intense search facility which enables the enthusiasts to get a detail of any raga, for advanced users, they can search and locate the composition of Smt. D Pattammal in any given raga. The audio section has renditions of the compositions of Smt. D Pattammal by eminent artists like Nithyashree, Priya Sisters, and T M Krishna etc; we have also listed various prestigious awards won by Smt. D Pattammal
