  • (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2013 - The ENTER 2014 Conference, which is organised by the International Federation for Information Technology and Travel and Tourism (IFITT) offers a worldwide and unique forum for attendees from academia, industry, government, and other organisations to actively exchange, share, and challenge state-of-the-art research and industrial case studies on the application of information and communication technologies to travel and tourism. One of the three main themes at ENTER 2014 will be the destination focus where academics and practitioners will discuss the latest issues in the application of information and communication technologies by tourism destinations.

    The destination focus will consist of four presentation sessions taking place throughout the conference. These sessions will cover the themes of 'New Approaches to Digital Content', Creativity and Innovation in DMOs' Digital (Marketing) Communications', 'Digital Landscape Across Asia' and 'DMO Innovation Case Studies'. All presentations will be given by representatives from well-known technology and destination marketing organisations, such as by Anna Skrzypek from Yahoo! talking about 'Compelling Content and Immersive Brand Experiences to Keep Destinations Relevant in a Changing Digital Landscape', Miquel Alabern Nebot from the Catalan Tourist Board introducing the topic 'Sharing the Success of Instagram -Engaging the Travelling Community' and Catherine Fischer from the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), presenting 'German Youth Hotspots - Engaging the Youth Market through a New Approach to PR'.
