  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2019 - The Closet Works continues to push design and innovation to the next level with organization systems that are not only functional but beautiful. All designed to solve the unique challenges brought to us by our clients. We were very excited to have one of our latest room-conversion project featured in the April 2019 edition of Main Line Today magazine. Our challenge was to transform underutilized square footage so a couple would be happy staying in their current home, rather than place it on the market. The compromise was developing a creative and custom plan for organizing a wide variety of clothing, vast jewelry collection, handbags, and design elements to fit their aesthetic and become a natural extension of their meticulously designed master bedroom. All of the features of a Hollywood closet were translated through a practical and thoughtful eye to give our client the functionality the project called for. We accounted for each of the clients needs by incorporating a lighted vanity, discrete security for jewelry and the concealment of some items while showcasing others.

Organization projects, particularly closets, are not rocket science. The challenge isn’t designing shelving, drawers, hanging sections and adding a couple (albeit useful) accessories. The innovation is born out of bringing the physical considerations, goals for the space and the client’s vision into harmony. This project is unique because those components result in a room like none other. A lighted vanity, specialized jewelry fixtures, glass shelves and display areas are all brought into a sitting room, that’s not a typical closet. This extra room is now a desirable place to spend time, not merely a utilitarian, household requirement. The clients’ dream closet is used by both of them every day and feels luxurious but practical. That balance is the essence of what we do here at The Closet Works.
