  • (1888PressRelease) October 04, 2011 - Today the CTC's Public Affairs Director Paul Zhang announced that the China Trade Commission will be opening their next office in Dalian in January of next year to service the 382,129 businesses in Northeast China in the Provinces of Helionjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning which is home to over 150 million Chinese citizens and 392 foreign companies.

"Site selection will be finalized within the next 30-45 days and we have already begun recruiting our local staff which will be composed of 6 business development specialists, 6 due diligence investigators, a regional director, and administrative support staff." Zhang explained.

The three Provinces are collectively known as "Dongbei" and are fast developing into economic industrial centers with three deep water ports available. A map of Dongbei can be found at this link:

Dalian was selected for the satellite office location since it offers incentives as an economic development zone and is easily accessible by air, rail, ship, and highways, as well as having 5 star convention and exhibition facilities. Dalian is also a popular tourist destination in the summer months and has twice been named as "China's cleanest city". Zhang remarked that "Dalian is a logical choice since it is less than an hour flight from Beijing, Harbin, Shenyang, and Jilin - the key economic hubs of Northeast China. Although Shenyang was also considered, the tax incentives of Dalian's designation as an "Economic Development Zone" was the deciding factor - not the beautiful golf courses as some have suggested." joked Zhang.

"We are excited to finally get to the Northeast and by 2015, we hope to open our last two offices in Northwest and Southwest China." concluded Zhang. The China Trade Commission now operates offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai.
