The Bougie Brat Powers Bold New Vision with “The Complex,” a Caribbean Creative Hub Backed by Artizen Fundraiser

The Bougie Brat, a trailblazing dancehall producer and founder of Amieré Records, is building The Complex—a groundbreaking creative hub in Jamaica blending music, film, wellness, and co-working. Backed by Artizen Fund, the project offers exclusive digital rewards and aims to empower Caribbean creatives without leaving home. Think a Tyler Perry Film Studio Lot meets music and entertainment.
- (1888PressRelease) June 24, 2025 - Kingston, Jamaica - Dancehall producer, creative director, and rising cultural visionary Kimberly Rhoden, widely known as The Bougie Brat, is redefining what it means to build legacy in the Caribbean with her latest venture: “The Complex” a multi-purpose creative and content production hub under her female-led music label, Amieré Records.
Designed to empower creatives across music, film, wellness, and entrepreneurship, The Complex is being developed on over 20 acres in Jamaica with a mission to provide world-class resources and infrastructure without artists having to leave the island or the diaspora.
The Complex will include high-end recording studios, soundstage film lots, co-working spaces, event rentals, a future wellness pavilion, and two onsite restaurants (one upscale and one courtyard-style café). The property will also host content rooms, podcast areas, and open-air screening spaces designed for creative work, rest, and entertainment.
To bring this ambitious project to life, The Bougie Brat has partnered with Artizen Fund, a Web3-powered grant platform that supports boundary-pushing creators through limited-edition digital “artifacts.” The Complex has already been curated into Season 5 and Season 6 of Artizen — one of the only Jamaica-based projects to receive such backing.
