  • (1888PressRelease) March 29, 2011 - Lee Mill, Devon - Now in its fourth year, the Readers' Choice Awards honour the world's best products, features and services across more than a dozen categories, ranging from technology to hobbies to parenting and men's grooming, as selected by its readers.

"This year's Readers' Choice Awards program had a record number of nominations submitted across more than a dozen categories and featured hundreds of finalists," said Margot Weiss, managing editor of About.com, which is owned by The New York Times Company.

"We are thankful to all our readers for their participation and congratulate The Bluebeards Revenge on its amazing success."

In January, the site's readers were asked to nominate their favourite shaving cream brands and aftershave products. After a nomination period that saw a flurry of activity, four finalists were chosen in both categories. From February 11 through March 8, 2011, readers cast tens of thousands of votes every day via the About.com website.

The Bluebeards Revenge shaving cream received nearly 40 per cent of the votes in its category, and was only narrowly beaten by The Art of Shaving, which is owned by Procter & Gamble.

Meanwhile, The Bluebeards Revenge post shave balm took third place in the best aftershave category.

"We are delighted to come runner-up for such a prestigious and coveted award. To poll nearly 40 per cent of the vote and nearly beat a product owned by Procter & Gamble is a massive feat in itself," said Nick Gibbens, PR manager at The Bluebeards Revenge.

"Procter & Gamble (which own Gillette) spend millions of pounds every year on marketing their products. This makes our achievement even sweeter and shows that the world has really taken to our unique shaving cream.

"I would like to thank everyone who voted for us."

Decelerine is a unique ingredient, which targets hair follicle cells and weakens new hair formation. It has proved to be effective in inhibiting hair growth, decreasing length and density of unwanted hair and also providing a soothing, moisturising and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

As well as slowing down beard regrowth, Decelerine relieves and soothes the effects of shaving (especially skin prone to irritation and dryness) by providing moisturisation and protection to facilitate its regeneration.
