The event will take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Suite Lounge located on 375 Luckie St. The primary goal of the mixer is to build stronger relationships within the Atlanta community, providing efficient ways to benefit philanthropic activities. This mixer is also geared towards bringing together executive business leaders, young professionals and small business companies for an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and networking.

Dale Ellis, the president of the Atlanta chapter of the Retired Players Association of the NBA, is a retired player from the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks and Seattle Supersonics. Ellis is known for his work in the community for giving back. Just recently, Ellis teamed up with Kemay Jackson of KL Jackson Law and David Knight of Christian Social Network to support a turkey drive for a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta.

This charity mixer is conveniently scheduled on Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. One of Dr. Kings's revolutionary visions was to end poverty and give back to communities. "There is nothing new about poverty. What is new, however, is that we now have the resources to get rid of it.
