  • (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2013 - Tentec Training, an ECITB Approved Provider of training and competence assurance programmes in the assembly and tightening of bolted connections is delighted to announce that it is now a Preferred Supplier for The Career Transition Partnership (CTP).

CTP is a partnering agreement between the Ministry of Defence and Right Management Ltd, a global career development and outplacement specialists and part of the Manpower Group. The CTP provides successful resettlement services for those leaving the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Marines.

"We are very proud that we are able to help our ex-servicemen and women." says Mike Gethings, Managing Director at Tentec. "These training courses are designed specifically to help attendees gain additional engineering skills that will help them in future employment. They are fully interactive and give participants 'real life' examples from trainers who have vast experience on site. People completing the courses leave with the confidence that they can carry out an extensive range of bolting work safely and efficiently."

Tentec offers established training units related to the use of bolt tightening tooling, assembly of components, joint verification and quality paperwork. Not only does the training cover hand torque, hydraulic torque and hydraulic tensioning but also Tentec own derived modules covering the correct use of Hydraulic Nuts and Tentec's popular BTS - Bolt Tightening Software.

In addition to training, Tentec also offer a follow up service that can lead to a series of technical tests. Success in these tests results in the award of certification that is valid for three years. The certification is an official ECITB qualification and is recognised throughout the world as the benchmark for bolting training. Assuming that the operator maintains records of continuing bolting work, there is no requirement for further training, only re-testing.

Details can be obtained directly from Tentec at its website http://www.tentec.net/training.php or the CTP at www.ctp.org.uk by typing in 'Tentec'.
