  • (1888PressRelease) January 09, 2014 - Los Angeles - The world was shocked in May, 2013 with the story of three Cleveland, Ohio women who, while teenagers, were abducted and held captive as sex slaves for ten years by Cleveland resident, Arial Castro. Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight, and Gina DeJesus were abducted, held as prisoners, and horrifically abused.

Their ordeal finally ended when Amanda Berry noticed a door left unlocked and seized the opportunity to run outside to a neighbor's house across the street and call for help.

The young women went missing between the years of 2002 and 2004, but they were never forgotten. Along with the families and police, the Cleveland chapter of The Guardian Angels engaged in a tireless ten-year search combing Cleveland neighborhoods.

The Alliance of The Guardian Angels is an international all-volunteer safety patrol organization that works with law enforcement in cities around the world to help curb crime. But the Cleveland effort was of an arduous and protracted scale all its own. In the newest episode of their television reality show, Angels In Action, the Cleveland Guardian Angels dramatically retrace their steps of the search, showing how they came so close that Gina, Michelle, and Amanda could hear the Angels outside calling their names - but had no way to respond from their Seymour Avenue prison. The Angels were also granted an exclusive interview with the DeJesus family that gives insight into their ordeal.

Angels In Action can be viewed on the FirstRun.tv Network (www.FirstRun.tv) on desktop, laptop, and tablet computers, smartphones, web-ready TV sets, and the Roku streaming player. Free apps are available for iPhones and Android phones.
