Speaking about the being awarded the project of digitization of medical records at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Lakshman said, "The effective execution by Techno Brain staff in this project has proved the possibility of such work which can be completed by local BPO players". He also added, "We are in a comfortable position to complete our KNH project of digitizing four million records by end of the targeted period".
With a bed capacity of 1,800; outpatients inflow of 520,000 and 70,000 inpatients every year, KNH was facing many difficulties with manual processes that proved to be inefficient, difficult to measure and prone to errors. Digitization of these medical records is part of KNH's ICT Master Plan that aims at complete transformation at the hospital and will lead to improved quality life of the citizens.
