  • (1888PressRelease) September 19, 2012 - Scottsdale, AZ - The company recently announced the addition of new communities in Mesa, Gilbert, Phoenix, Chandler, Peoria, Goodyear and Scottsdale, as well as new phases beginning in already existing communities. In all, the Arizona division of the nation's largest private homebuilder now has 20 communities in Valley.

"Our sales this year have been astounding - about double our original projections," said Pierrette Tierney, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Taylor Morrison Arizona. "Because of the success we've been having in existing communities, we've been aggressive in identifying land purchases in areas that will be a good fit for future homebuyers."

Included in the company's immediate plans is its first community in Scottsdale - at Mirabel - and several new communities in the southeast Valley: Lehi Crossings and Eastmark in Mesa, Maplewood in Chandler, Elliot Groves at Morrison Ranch in Gilbert, The Bridges (also in Gilbert) and growth to four collections of floor plans at the popular Gilbert community Adora Trails.

"The variety of communities and diversity of new floor plans that we'll have to offer Phoenix homebuyers is the strongest it's been in years," Tierney said. "We're focused on key submarkets that are in the highest demand and where we feel Taylor Morrison can offer something new and exciting to homebuyers."

Taylor Morrison Arizona also announced earlier this year that all of its new home communities will now carry energy ratings based on the energy-conscious HERS®Index, giving Arizonans an opportunity to discover an energy-efficient home for their family.

All Taylor Morrison Arizona homes will now be built to Energy Star 3.0 specifications with 100 percent Energy Star rated appliances. Radiant barrier roof sheathing, high efficiency 14-SEER air conditioning, low-E vinyl framed windows and programmable thermostats are also included. The eco-driven features are part of the homebuilder's new Elem3nts program, which stresses environment, energy and efficiency.
