  • (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2025 - On May 16, 2025, the TangaYetu program officially launched four new projects under Phase II to boost youth empowerment and inclusive urban development.

    Over 180 participants gathered in Tanga to witness initiatives focused on education, environmental sustainability, the blue economy, and digital skills.

    Projects include improving learning in 83 schools, engaging 200 youth in waste recycling, promoting coastal livelihoods, and training 250 youth in digital entrepreneurship.

    Funded by Fondation Botnar and managed by INNOVEX with Tanga City Council, TangaYetu continues its mission to make Tanga a city where young people thrive.

    These interventions build on the momentum of Phase I by responding to local needs and priorities through collaborative design and youth participation,” said Mr. Patrick Msumary, Program Coordinator at TangaYetu
