  • (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2011 - From the Land of the Rising Sun comes a music artist with the sheer determination to make it to the City of Angels, and the soon, the world - meet Takao.

Born in Fukuoka and then raised in Kumamoto, Japan, Takao started his music career at 15 when he joined local bands to become its lead vocalist. From there, Takao has performed in front of large crowds, in many gigs, and has consistently participated in music festivals in various cities of Japan. Takao gained exposure and media attention from his proactive approach with his rising star.

At 18, Takao moved to Tokyo and turned more serious with his music career, this time, as a solo artist. And then in 2009, he jetted to Los Angeles, California, setting his sights on making it big. Fortunately in 2010, Takao met with super producer Clarence Jey, an Emmy winner who has worked with and produced for various artists. To date, Takao and Clarence Jey are currently sprucing-up Takao's debut EP. Its lead single, 'Give Me Tonight', is Takao's first stellar stab at stardom. The track is produced by Jovette Rivera, who has helped making other records for many stars in Japan. With his R'n'B sound mixed with rockin' dance and groovin' beats, Takao is set to take on the pop world too, you'll see.

Takao's music is available at iTunes, distributed by JMD Records and INgrooves (a partner of Universal Music Group.)
