  • Stamford-Norwalk, CT (1888PressRelease) August 20, 2012 - North Stamford Congregational Church announces The Big Flea, a tag sale and flea market fundraiser, will raise money for the church and local charities on Friday, August 24, and Saturday, August 25, at the Stone House in Stamford, Connecticut. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday attendees can purchase furniture, household items, and more. General admission is free.

    Every year, The Big Flea draws hundreds of people across the county. Furniture, home accessories, tools, collectibles, kids' items, bicycles, sporting goods and artwork, all at modest prices, will be available for purchase. Local vendors will sell hand-made crafts and jewelry.

    For a sneak peek at items prior to the event, shoppers can come to early admission on Friday, August 26, between 8 and 9 a.m. for a $15 entry fee. On Saturday, August 27, items will be 50 percent off beginning at 1 p.m. At 3:15 p.m. everything left will be free.

    The tag sale and flea market will take place at the Stone House, 31 Cascade Road, located two miles north of the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in North Stamford, Connecticut.

    The Big Flea is still accepting donations to sell, and applications from vendors wishing to sell their products. The church is also seeking assistance from a local moving company, a caterer, and others to donate their generous services and time.
