  • (1888PressRelease) June 07, 2022 - ECUBLENS, SWITZERLAND. - Taekwondo Master Hamed Konarivand (https://www.hamedkonarivand.com/) has created a new style of Taekwondo geared toward helping young children develop physically, psychologically, and socially. Konarivand aims to engage children through play while preparing them for life. TaekFunDo was started with the intention that children could develop and enhance their core skills, including balance, agility, coordination, and, most importantly, self-confidence. Children are taught how to share, take turns, and work with one another to complete activities, all within 45-minute sessions.

Through TaekFunDo’s uniquely curated course, children are guided and taught Taekwondo-specific skills, such as punching and kicking, but in a safer and more controlled environment. TaekFunDo classes are aimed at young children ages 3 to 7 and are structured with a game-based curriculum. Each coach is first-aid trained and certified, WT registered, CRB checked, and undergoes rigorous training before being employed at TaekFunDo, ensuring children are in the safest hands.

In 2019, after he moved to Switzerland, Konarivand noticed a lack of Taekwondo classes designed specifically for young children. Having fallen in love with the sport at the age of 6 and reaching black belt level three years later, he knew Switzerland lacked a sport that could help children develop core skills in a fun and engaging environment. His only option was to start TaekFunDo in hopes children would fall in love with the sport at an early age, just as he had.
