  • (1888PressRelease) November 13, 2010 - Tokyo, Japan: Today, SWEET SOUL RECORDS, parent company lifesound, Inc., officially announced that an agreement has be reached with LIX Music, for nationwide distribution of Jeremy James' album "For You."

Antiguan born Jeremy James, the son of a singer and the grandson of a guitarist, is often described as being a cross between Stevie Wonder and Seal. Jeremy's voice seems to embrace both sides of this style equally. It is slightly raspy at some points, with an honest, organic quality, which is warm, strong, and heartfelt. His songs are delivered with passionate, sincere, and edgy vocals.

"I believe in writing songs that people can relate to. Armed with my guitar, I write about my experience and I love when I meet someone that is able to feel my thoughts within the music," says Jeremy about his music (featured in Showtime's film "Violation").

Jeremy James has been heard on radio stations like 93.5 FM, 98.7 Kiss FM, and Jammin 105. He has appeared on television shows like "Today In New York Weekend" on NBC4, interviewed by Rob Morrison, as well as "Do You in 30 Seconds" on Black Entertainment Television (BET) 106 & Park, where he was interviewed by Free and A.J. He was also featured in press articles like Daily News. He has wooed audiences with his performances in well-known New York venues including SOB'S, The Schomburg, Joe's Pub, Knitting Factory, and the Blue Note.

"I have spoken to Jeremy on quite a few occasions and I was immediately struck by his 'earthy' atmosphere. You can feel that atmosphere resonating in his music, and you're automatically put at ease. I think Jeremy represents the type of artist whose main concern is not on material wealth, but a man who sincerely wants to relate to and entertain his listener." says Michael Harris, SWEET SOUL RECORDS Senior Manager.

"For You" Japan Edition will be released in Japan under the SWEET SOUL RECORDS label, and is scheduled to be in stores by mid-January 2011.

    About LIX Music
LIX Music is a publishing company with ASCAP aimed at distributing smooth and soulful, yet edgy, sounds for use in television programs, movies and on the radio. Founded in 1990 by singer, songwriter and performer Jeremy James, LIX Music seeks opportunities to record and promote music that has lasting impressions that all listeners can easily relate to, such as James' album "For You." When James is armed with a guitar, he fills the air with colorful, yet complex, chords and his business acumen and love of the guitar and its 'lix' provide the inspiration for LIX Music. Not only is James smart and talented, but he is also no stranger to success. Straight out of college, he was a lead guitarist for the group Atlantic Starr. Since then, James' fortune has continued and he continues to record and publish music through LIX.
