  • Baton Rouge, LA (1888PressRelease) April 07, 2011 - The Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) is accepting applications for companies to discover the power of exports in a growing international market at THAIFEX: World of Food Asia, to be held May 25-27, 2011, in Bangkok, Thailand.

THAIFEX is an international trade fair encompassing the food and beverage, catering, technology, hospitality service, hospitality retail and franchise industry sectors. This key event is held annually to promote agricultural suppliers and products from more than 101 countries to more than 21,000 potential buyers. This year's event will focus on fruits, nuts, vegetables, high-value foods, processed foods and halal products.

SUSTA invites southern U.S. agricultural suppliers to take advantage of this opportunity to increase business by establishing and growing their market presence abroad. To become an exhibitor, participants can purchase a furnished booth in SUSTA's pavilion for the discounted price of $400 or a half-booth for $200.

"If companies are interested in breaking into Asian markets, where U.S. products are very popular, THAIFEX is a key event to attend," said Jerry Hingle, executive director of SUSTA. "We're looking forward to a great event this year and encourage companies with high-quality products to join us while space is still available."

"We're hoping our presence at THAIFEX this year will introduce a number of new products to Southeast Asia and help southern U.S. exporters gain a foothold in this emerging market," said Bernadette Wiltz, deputy director and international marketing director for SUSTA.
