  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2011 - Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS), a leading provider of election services, announced today that it was selected by the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) to oversee the MNA's historic contract vote that took place on May 19, 2010.

The result of the vote, in which more than 9,000 MNA members participated, rejected a proposed contract and authorized the largest nursing strike in U.S. history in the event that the MNA and fourteen Twin Cities-area hospitals are unable to reach a new contract agreement.

MNA officials cited SBS' election management experience and commitment to customer service in their selection of SBS as the association's election vendor of choice. "We could not be happier with the service we received from SBS." said Kelli Eisenschenk, director of organizational governance, MNA. "They provided complete professionalism and efficiency through the entire election process."
Founded in 1905, the Minnesota Nurses Association currently represents more than 20,000 nurses across the state.

"Independent, third-party elections have been our specialty since 1990," said Jon
Westerhaus, founder and president, SBS. "Associations worldwide entrust SBS with the task of designing and managing their elections from start to finish."
