  • (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2011 - November is fast approaching, and most dedicated runners know that one of the world's most famous event is soon to grace the global stage.

We've been training for a year for one big run: The ING New York City Marathon!

It's no secret that New Zealanders really love beer but, believe it or not mate, at Author-it we've long promoted health and fitness through eating healthy food and doing lots of sport!

It's in this spirit that Author-it CEO and Founder Paul Trotter is training daily in preparation for the marathon, and setting an example for all staff and clients.

This year Paul is running the 2011 ING New York Marathon with Team for Kids, and he needs your support to promote and contribute to their inspiring mission.

Team for Kids is a team of volunteers who raise funds for critical services provided by New York Road Runners Youth Programs.

These programs combat childhood obesity and empower youth development via running and character-building programs in low-income schools and community centers in New York City, throughout USA, and in South Africa.

    Making a donation is easy!

Visit Paul's donation page (http://www.runwithtfk.org/Member/PublicPage/6601) and click the Donate button on the left hand side of your screen to submit your donation. You will be helping to provide many children with a better future.

Whether you are a runner, have worked with children, or have kids yourself, we at Author-it hope you will support Paul in furthering this great cause!

To follow Paul's daily training check out our Facebook events page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=221676687869724. You can also join him on one of his runs... but anticipate a hard day!

And remember: a small donation can make a big difference to a small person.
