  • (1888PressRelease) September 05, 2014 - SunTell, the Japanese based solar company, are suggesting that they have developed a new design of solar cell for their panels that will be efficient to generate electricity at levels of low light.

The announcement came at a conference earlier this week and is set to confirm previous rumors that have already been circulating that SunTell have designed, and are in the process of developing the solar cell, said to work effectively in very low levels of light to the same effect as a conventional solar cell.

"We have, for some time, been in the process of searching for more effective solar cell structures compatible with our current systems range" said Yoshihiko Wakadu the Chairman at Sun Tell Japan.

"Previously solar cells have only been effective at capturing energy from the sun at certain times of the day, but this recent innovation means that a typical solar panel can now work at harnessing the suns energy for most of the daytime, when any form of light from the sun is available" the Chairman continued.

"Up until now, we have not tested this cell in a real time environment therefore we have been reluctant to discuss its potential in the capture of energy from the sun, and as to where it will be beneficial in regards to our current solar panel systems.

"We have now fully tested its capabilities and therefore are now able to proceed to the full production stage of development and we look forward to be in a position to include it in addition to our current range of systems to be available early next year" concluded Yoshihiko Wakadu, speaking on behalf of SunTell Japan.

The announcement comes as no surprise for the industry, as similar systems are already in use, but the fact that Sun Tell are announcing this now is very exciting as they are renown for very effective solar systems for both commercial and domestic use thereby indicating that this new innovation will have some more efficient capabilities enabling it to exceed current production levels of solar panels that are available on the market today.
