Stradalli Proudly Supports Cumberland Youth Bicycle Event
Stradalli Cycle proudly supported a youth cycling event organized by the Town of Cumberland Youth Mountain Bike Program.
- (1888PressRelease) October 12, 2011 - Stradalli Cycle, the high performance carbon bicycle manufacturer, is proud to have supported a youth mountain biking event organized by the Town of Cumberland Youth Mountain Bike Program which took place on Sunday October 2nd 2011.
The young riders, aged 6 to 16, got together as part of "Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day" a special event to celebrate the life of Jack Doub, who was an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina, but sadly passed away in 2002.
The annual event is supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and was funded by the Jack Doub Memorial Endowment along with additional support from, among others, Stradalli Cycle who gave each of the sixty plus kids and adults a free shirt.
"Stradalli has a passion for cycling and we want to help pass this passion on to the next generation" said Thomas Steinbacher of Stradalli. "It was a pleasure and an honour to play our part in the Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day."
The Cumberland ride took place on the new pump track and trail system at Diamond Hill Park and although this was the third event, in as many years, it is the first time a pump track and trail system were specially built to host the event.
According to eight year old Liam Nichols the day was a great success. "This is the most exciting event in my cycling career" he said.
