Short fiction stories must incorporate the contest theme, love, and be 500-1500 words in length. The contest is open to writers 18+ in the United States and Canada (except in Quebec and where prohibited by law). Winners of both tracks will be announced on May 17, 2022.

To enter, visit https://storybilder.com/love and follow the links to the submission form.
All eligible submissions will be entered into the Grand Prize track, with a $1000 USD payout for the best story as blind-judged by the StoryBilder team. Entrants can also choose to enter their story into the Public Forum track, where friends and family can vote toward an additional $500 USD prize.

“The two-track prize format allows writers to participate at a level that makes them feel most comfortable,” said Tanya Gough, technical founder of StoryBilder, Ltd. (https://storybilder.com).

StoryBilder is a creative writing platform designed to help new and aspiring writers write novels and other longer form fiction. It contains flexible workflows and adaptable structures to provide guidance, with an underlying education layer and creativity wizards to provide support and help as required. An optional story asset library full of characters, maps and outlines from classic literature, folk and fairy tales, and mythology can be used as a starting point, mix-and-matched, or adapted. Together, these elements form a creative playspace where writers can learn, explore and write.

“We couldn’t have brought StoryBilder to market without the support and encouragement of our many friends and colleagues,” said Gough. “The Swipe Write Contest is our way of showing our appreciation, and we invite writers of all experience levels to submit their stories.”
