Hailing from Brooklyn, he received his BA degree in Jazz Performance from Purchase College, State University of New York. It was there that Stix was given the name BONE by his fellow musicians, an acronym for "Brother of Noble Excellence," because of the mutual respect they shared.

    Not an artist to sit still for long, Stix, producer for chart topping Jazz artists Matt Marshak and J.J.Sansaverino, is also currently the primary drummer for Derrick N.
