  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 27, 2010 - In a world devoid of a generation's love for tattered jeans, metal hair-do's and MTV rock videos, there is still hope for what some refer to as a past fad, but many rockers still feel is a relevant element missing from mainstream radio today. That element is hard rock radio!

Mainstream radio has long been on the bandwagon that features the latest and greatest and turns a deaf ear to the cries for crunching guitars and hard driving rock and roll drumbeats. Occasional resurgences of the glamorous and riff laden rock and roll styles surface in annual performances like Rocklahoma and Progfest, but today's FM dial rarely touches on the music that fed the teen angst of the mid to late 80's. With today's computer and cell phone technology, heavy metal music fanatics can tune in to options like Pandora and Slacker for a small distortion infusion, but even those channels limit the selections of titles and artists to those who sell on the store shelves. More of the era's artists are regaled to acoustic versions of love ballads and fail to feature the aggressive chord structures that define the artistry used to create those songs. This has not been a problem for Stickman-Radio over the past 9 years, and with its latest merger, Stickman proposes that another decade of hard rock and heavy metal will remain one click away for the listener.

Stickman Radio founder Kirk Nowlan and All hard Rock Clothing founder Joe Dolan attended high school together back in the 80's when many of the artists streamed through the station were part of the mainstream radio market. Kirk, a drummer, developed "Stick"man Radio from his home nearly a decade ago with the hope of keeping the music he loved available for any and all who chose to listen. During the station's infancy, many of the hard to find songs were given to Kirk for the station from Joe's personal collection. Joe, a touring and recording bass player and avid music collector, went on to form the hard rock revival label Retrospect Records in his basement in Webster, Massachusetts. With these efforts, their love of hard rock music would endure.

In the past decade, the station has run strong, streaming to upwards of 200-300 listeners consecutively from locations around the globe. With the advent of FaceBook and Social Media Networks, Kirk and Joe met over a web chat in 2010 and made a move to merge their current business developments together to offer a lifestyle to those who still carry the flag for their generation's music. Joe Dolan's All Hard Rock Clothing Company has been endorsing metal musicians with trendy print graphics on an assortment of outwear and supporting the metal music scene since 2009. The merger seemed like the perfect fit for two like-minded entrepreneurs.

On December 1st, 2010, www.Stickman-Radio.com launches a new website that features a host of links to news articles and Amazon music sales to feed the needs of rock and roll lovers and each page offers direct linking to the 24/7 streaming radio station. What's best, the station is completely free to everyone. Listeners and web browsers have the added bonus of choosing two requests per hour from a database of more than 40,000 tracks from thousands of artists in the genre. The listeners program the station as they have options of playing personal favorites and clicking through to purchase and own the music they hear for their own CD collections. The music is available through the Internet, on cell phones and streaming every day, worldwide as the station has done now for nearly a decade. While the new website has just begun, the duo of Nowlan and Dolan tell the media that it's pages will grow and feature new elements as rockers dictate it's direction.
