  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) July 21, 2011 - Singer/songwriter Stephanie Carlin will be performing on Sunday, August 14 at 8:30 p.m. as part of Cornelia Street Café's Vocal Festival. Joining her will be an eclectic array of New York based all-stars: bassist Alan Hampton (Gretchen Parlato), drummer Nate Wood (Kneebody) and guitarist Josh Mease (Frog Stand Records).

Stephanie is not just another girl with a guitar. She holds a voice of bittersweet honesty and unyielding truths, straddling the lines between folk and jazz. Carlin, a Long Island native, appeared on the New York music scene five years ago and has brought her original music to nearly 200 notable venues and festivals.

Carlin launched and successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign in May 2011 to fund her new album "Tree of Series," to be released later this year. This album is an impressive undertaking for the young indie artist, as renowned producer Matt Pierson (Diana Krall, Kirk Whalum, Brad Meldhau, Jane Monheit) will be recording the project at Flux Studios in Manhattan. Sean Lennon, Marc Ronson, Mick Jagger, and countless artists have all recorded masterpieces at Flux. Pianist David Cook (Liz Right, Natasha Bedingfield, Taylor Swift) will also be appearing on the album.

Stephanie will unveil her latest record "Tree of Series" for the first time at the Cornelia Street Café Vocal Festival. To purchase tickets and make reservations for this exclusive event, visit Tickets are limited.
