The most recent numbers on workplace injuries and illnesses available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is for 2008. Per these figures, the national incident rate in 2008 for fabricated metal product manufacturing was 6.8 per 100.

The winning posters are laminated, framed and hung at various locations throughout Rigid's steel buildings plants.

    First, second and third place prizes of $50, $25 and $10 respectively were awarded to the best posters in three categories - employees, spouses and their children. Rigid congratulates its first place winners Afshin Saleh of the night shift manufacturing dept., Jim Boyd J. Ramos (spouse of Imelda T. Ramos of the production control dept.) and Nicole Dumlao (child of Nicolas Dumlao of the engineering dept.)
