A host of successful Welsh authors and poets including Gillian Clarke (national poet of Wales) have signed books to mark National Poetry Day in the UK. These very special editions are available to buy through the newly launched welshgiftshop.com.

October 4 is National Poetry Day, and in keeping with this year's chosen theme of 'stars', what better way to celebrate than with books signed by the stars of Welsh Literature.

Wales has one of the oldest literary traditions in Europe. These writers have each played an important role in keeping this tradition alive.
Gillian Clarke, the National Poet of Wales and winner of the Queen's Gold Medal for poetry, says "What a delightful, innovative way to spread the word, to place books among other good things made in Wales - poems, stories to surprise the gift-hunter into finding an unexpected jewel."
