  • Jersey City, NJ (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2013 - A new Hoboken, N.J.-based company, is set to give men an easy option when it comes to getting clothing designed to fit their specific build. Founded by Matt Hornbuckle and Kirk Keel, the startup is now raising funds through a Kickstarter campaign to make their goals a reality. The venture is based at Hoboken's Mission 50 Workspaces, a leading coworking community in Northern New Jersey, and the apparel is made in the U.S.

Using millions of data points from male body scans and working with industry and university experts for the past 14 months, Hornbuckle and Keel, both Hoboken residents, created an innovative new approach to sizing that will reinvent how men shop for clothes.

"Major strides have been made to bring technology to the apparel industry, but the focus is still on the traditional model of selling standard small, medium and large sizes only fitting 15% of men," said Hornbuckle. "We are aiming to revolutionize the way that is done and bring great-fitting shirts to men starting with casual button-down shirts and polos."

STANTT utilizes a patent-pending sizing system in which users enter three measurements they likely already know - chest, waist and arm length - and an algorithm matches them to one of 50 sizes, tailored to fit their build. The company then ships directly to the customer's doorstep within days, completely taking the guesswork and fitting room out of the equation. STANTT has plans to expand into other apparel categories in the near future.

"Both Matt and Kirk possess a true passion and entrepreneurial spirit. That is what Mission 50 is all about," said Greg Dell'Aquila, president and co-founder of Mission 50. "It's exciting to see their company come to life, and I am thrilled that Mission 50 is providing the platform for them to accomplish their goals."

Since its launch in September 2011, Mission 50 has become Northern New Jersey's leading coworking community for entrepreneurs like Hornbuckle and Keel, established small businesses, and freelancers as well as corporate executives. Mission 50 members get productive and stay inspired in this shared office environment, often collaborating on innovative products and services.

Located in the penthouse of the Hoboken Business Center, Mission 50 provides affordable, flexible office space including private offices, communal workspaces and conference rooms. Office services include Internet connectivity, phone, mail, conference rooms and 24/7 access to printing, copying, scanning, faxing and soundproof phone booths. Events, from workshops to working lunches and happy hours, further connect this dynamic office alternative.
