  • Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC (1888PressRelease) May 06, 2011 - The Upstate Spice of Life Show, an event focused on promoting a healthy and prosperous lifestyle, took place at the Carolina First Center this past weekend. More than 100 exhibitors displayed products and services relating to healthy living, sustainability, cooking, entertaining and fitness.

Various stages were setup throughout the venue, including the SCBT Main Stage, which hosted a fitness wear fashion show, aerial dancers, yoga demonstrations and more. There was also a cooking stage where hundreds of attendees gathered on Saturday to watch Food Network's Ellie Krieger present several demonstrations, including a recipe for her "Mocha Java Smoothie". Another celebrity chef and author of Eat Clean, Terry Walters, also drew a large crowd at the Cooking Stage.

Event sponsor, Greenville Hospital System, hosted a variety of seminars and workshops that focused on beauty, wellness, and health. "Greenville Hospital System/University Medical Center was excited to be able to promote the Show's mission of living a healthy lifestyle. The quality and diversity of the presenters was outstanding and we're excited for the future of the Upstate Spice of Life Show," said Robyn Zimmerman, Director of Public Relations, Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center.

Overall, the first annual Upstate Spice of Life Show was deemed a success by exhibitors and attendees alike. "I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the hard work you and your staff put into the show. When I learned about this event at the Women's Show last August I went straight home and put it on my calendar! My friend and I had so much fun! The education and resources that we got from the show, benefit not only us, but our husbands and children too," stated one excited attendee after the weekend.

The Upstate Spice of Life Show will return to the Carolina First Center March 17-18, 2012. Exhibitor applications for next year's Show are already being accepted. For details call (864)250-9713 or visit UpstateSpiceofLifeShow.com.
