In observation of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the 4 high-end fitness facilities in the South Bay will open their doors to the general public. A suggested minimum $25 donation will allow them to climb aboard the clubs' specially designated treadmill machines for a 30-minute session or attend a special group fitness classes anytime between Oct 18-20 and those making online donations (www.cancersupportredondobeach.org) will receive a 3-day pass redeemable at any Spectrum Athletic Club, a $75 value. Participants are encouraged to bring photographs or mementos of their loved ones whose lives were directly impacted by the disease and they will be displayed on a "tribute collage" and featured at each of the clubs through month's end.

    To commemorate this month of observation, equipment dedicated to the fundraiser will be painted or decorated pink, the nationally recognized color of breast cancer.
