  • Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) January 17, 2013 - The Reeves Charity Polo Classic returns to the Tampa Bay Area on February 23rd. This year will be the second annual event to benefit three local non-profit organizations: The Children's Cancer Center, Wheels of Success and Starting Right Now.

    John Walsh from America's Most Wanted alongside Lauren Thompson, from the Golf Channel, will host the event held at DI Polo in Plant City on February 23, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Guests who attend the event with enjoy a gourmet lunch, complementary wine and beer, and a silent auction. To add to the excitement of the day, guests will take part in the time honored tradition of the champagne divot stomp.

    Last year's inaugural event was a fundraiser like Tampa had never seen before. With over 350 guests and more than 45 organizations in attendance, the event exceeded fundraising goals for local non-profit organizations. With announcing this year's event, the Reeves Charity Polo Classic Planning Committee would also like to give a special thank you to all our sponsors for aiding in the goal of doubling the funds donated to The Children's Cancer Center, Wheels of Success and Starting Right Now.

    Helping children and families cope. That is the mission of the Children's Cancer Center, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving Tampa Bay families of children with cancer or chronic blood disorders such as Sickle Cell Anemia.
