Spaude and Subaru Road Racing Team Ready to Shine at NJMP as Subaru will be Official Sponsor
2011 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.
- (1888PressRelease) July 21, 2011 - P1 Groupe driver Bret Spaude and the Subaru Road Racing Team will be taking their talents to Millville, New Jersey this weekend for the next race on the 2011 GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series. New Jersey Motorsports Park will host the B+ Foundation Heroes 200 on Saturday, and with Subaru being the Official Car and Pace Car of the event, Spaude and his team believe this is their weekend to show that their #35 Subaru of America sponsored WRX-STI can run with the big guns of the Grand Sport class. The team has been making significant strides throughout this year, and with only two races remaining Spaude is confident that he and his team have a car that can finish the season off strong before they look towards 2012.
"We are finally "home"! New Jersey is a great place to continue the momentum we still have from a great mid season surge. Our test there earlier this year was very positive. We tested both our cars and we really liked the newest Subaru WRX STI that the guys had built. New Jersey is like Barber and Lime Rock in a sense. Our ability to keep the speeds up through the tighter corners will benefit us greatly this weekend. This being Subaru's home track also make this weekend special. Subaru will have a few extra stations around the paddock for race fans to visit and talk with Subaru representatives. I am also doing the on-track fan walk for fans after the race on Saturday with my co-driver Andrew Aquilante."
Heading into the B+ Foundation Heroes 200 the #35 Subaru Road Racing Team is 19th in the Team Championship Points Standings for the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.
