  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) March 28, 2012 - Todd Baker, Director of Training and Education for Southeastern Emergency Equipment, an international distributor of emergency medical equipment and supplies, has announced the center will offer the next Paramedic Refresher Course July 30 - August 4, 2012. The Paramedic Refresher Course will be held at the Southeastern Emergency Equipment Training & Education Center, located at 5762 Hwy 96W in Youngsville, N.C. just North of Raleigh.

The curriculum guidelines will be the objectives of the 2001 US DOT EMT-Paramedic Refresher Course. The program will consist of a Monday-Thursday lecture-style component, followed by two OPTIONAL days where participants may take ACLS and PALS refresher courses.

Completion of the lecture component will meet all NREMT-P mandatory and flexible core content areas with the exception of 8 hours in airway, breathing, cardiology and 8 hours in OB/Peds. If participants elect to take the optional ACLS and PALS refresher modules then ALL hours will be met for the required 48 hour paramedic refresher course.

The course schedules and length include 32 hours on Mon-Thurs, July 30 - August 2 from 8:00am-5:00pm each day for the lecture/lab component; 8 hours on Friday, August 3 from 8:00am-5:00pm for the ACLS refresher; and 8 hours on Saturday, August 4 from 8:00am-5:00pm for the PALS refresher. You can register for the courses at www.seequip.com/home/Traineducation/emsclass/emtprefresher.php.

"This course enables paramedics to meet all NREMT-P core content requirements in only one week," said Baker. "It is generally a sold-out course given that paramedics needing a refresher course can complete it on such a limited schedule."
