  • Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2011 - New York and New Delhi: "Rim Jhim" is a seven song album covering music from melodious easy listening renditions to modern day rock genre - keeping soulful rendition at the middle of each song. It represents the confluence of east and west to produce a unique melody that will resonate internationally.

The album was conceived, co-composed and produced by Aninda Bose. The Songs have been sung by new generation sensation Anweshaa Datta Gupta and Debanjalee (niece of Abhijit Bandyopadhyay, Bengal's famed music director).

Rim Jhim is a confluence of eastern and western musical genres as it was recorded, mixed and mastered at Skylabs, New Jersey, USA by Dan Skye (early band member of Bon Jovi, Shotgun Symphony) who is amongst the leading sound engineers in the world. The musical arrangement was rendered by the talented Vasanth Vaseegaran - son of South Indian musician Vaseegaran. With lyrics penned by Anirban Banerjee, Debanjalee, Aninda Bose and Goutam Dutta.

Songs like "Amar Bhalo Lage", provide reminisces of the 1970s, "Koto Deen Koto Raat" - reflects a modern age band song with high octane guitaring and influence of strings, "Chena Ki Ochena" - a modern Dance number to the title track Rim Jhim, using influence of nature.

The music has been remixed as an acoustic remix, by Dan Skye, providing a different dimension to listening. The instruments include Chinese instruments like ERHU and influence of DULCIMER is used in some songs. Bass guitar is lavishly used in some songs and in "Shudhu Gaan", the base has a magical influence on the song.

The promo video of Rim Jhim has been shot in New York, New Jersey and has been released on June 24, 2011 (YouTube: Rim Jhim, The Music Video)
