  • Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle Beach, SC (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2018 - From the time the guests arrive at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island this October, an entirely different “Think Pink” experience in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month can be expected, starting with the logo on the main entrance illuminating a pink glow. Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island will be honoring survivors, remembering those lost to the disease, and supporting the progress in defeating breast cancer by offering its guests unique ways to encourage fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Book the best available rate and qualify for the “Think Pink” package, which features a $20 donation to the Foundation for each night stayed and a 10 percent discount on food. To book, visit us online.

The resort will also feature an honorary “pink table” at its popular onsite restaurant, Heyward’s. 10 percent of proceeds raised from all meals at this table in October will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Or sip on one of our three “Think Pink” specialty cocktails available at all dining outlets and $1 from every drink sold will be donated. Cocktails include the below:

    • Tickled Pink – a delightful mixture of gin, muddled cucumber, fresh lemon, simple syrup and a touch of cranberry splash
    • Strawberry Smash – a fruity combination of citrus vodka, elderflower liquor, fresh lemon and muddled strawberry topped with a dash of soda
    • Raspberry Lemon Drop – citrus vodka paired with Chambord, muddled raspberry, fresh lemon, simple syrup and soda

Pearl’s Gift Shop, Sonesta Resort’s onsite boutique, is donating 10 percent of its sales of all pink-branded Sonesta items. The popular Arum Spa is doing the same, giving 10 percent of its sales from pink manicures and pedicures.

“We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the third consecutive year,” said Jay Wiendl, general manager of Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. “This is a cause that lies close to our hearts and plays a huge role in our culture of caring. We hope that our efforts will encourage and inspire others to give to the cause, fight strong and ultimately assist in finding a cure.”

One significant pillar of the Sonesta brand is its Culture of Caring, a program that encourages each property and resort within the Sonesta Collection to identify meaningful opportunities to give back to the community and support nonprofits. This latest campaign in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Susan G. Komen Foundation is an excellent opportunity for the resort, guests and locals to help raise awareness and give to a meaningful cause.
