  • (1888PressRelease) July 24, 2013 - (Kingston) -- Solamon Energy Corp. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David McQueen to its executive team. As a European-based market specialist, effective immediately, McQueen is tasked with the assessment of solar opportunities in Southern Europe and the development of strategic alliances to assure the growth of the company.

As a potential local energy partner, proving beneficial in light of increasing electricity costs and oil prices continuing to rise in the future, Mr McQueen will recommend to clients the Solamon brand of turnkey solar array, while delivering the best suite of partners and technology to each project, as every solar power plant is a unique design.

"With excellent opportunities being uncovered in Eastern Europe, led by our own Great Plain solar initiative in Hungary, I felt it was time to widen the scope of our operations and introduce our Apollo Acre™ into Southern Europe," explains Solamon President Jay Yeo, "and I am excited to have Mr. McQueen on board. Having worked in markets the world over, he brings with him a wealth of experience and I have every confidence he will prove himself quite valuable to our team's success in numerous territories."

According to Yeo, McQueen will introduce Solamon and the Apollo Acre™ to business leaders within European communities adjacent to the Mediterranean and Northern Atlantic, spanning the Canary Islands in the west to Greece in the east. McQueen will seek to increase sales by developing local partnerships, opening project management offices, managing media relations and overseeing new staff as required over the next year based on these integrated activities.

"Recognizing the numerous opportunities represented over such a large region, I definitely have my work cut out for me," says McQueen. "I look forward to working with the Solamon team," he continues, "as I believe the Apollo Acre™ is a great business opportunity for independent businesses, and that it's a message I believe we can spread quickly throughout Europe."

Since launching, Solamon Energy typically offers a ground-mounted solar array of integrated cells over a package of land called the Apollo Acre™. The company now also develops custom solutions with local partners to provide roof-mounted and parking lot systems that are easily augmented by micro wind turbine technology and other innovative features to supply renewable energy.

    About Solamon:
Solamon Energy Corp. sells integrated arrays of ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic cells. These solar power plants are connected by cable to varied transmission equipment, including converters, inverters and batteries, utilizing 5 acres of land per unit; each unit is called an Apollo Acre™. Additionally, it is expected the company's business activities will spin-off many jobs locally, given engineering requirements, construction, unit commissioning and subsequent maintenance.
