  • (1888PressRelease) April 08, 2011 - A partnership between the League Managers Association (LMA) and Green Star Media to publish Elite Soccer, a monthly online soccer coaching magazine, has been extended for a further two years.

    Elite Soccer, launched in July 2010, is the leading source of coaching practices for aspiring coaches. The magazine has featured sessions from Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp, Alex McLeish, Owen Coyle and a host of other Barclays Premier League managers.

    Each issue features a complete training session from six managers, one from each of the English leagues from the Barclays Premier League to npower League Two, and two additional sessions from members of the Professional Football Coaches Association (PFCA).

    The LMA's authoritative membership, combined with Green Star Media's expertise as a specialist publisher, has created a resource offering unique insight into training ground activities at professional football clubs.

    Richard Bevan, CEO of the LMA commented;

    "The LMA is delighted to renew our partnership with Green Star Media to continue to publish Elite Soccer. It is a very important partnership for the LMA, which utilises the access to our members, delivering insight into their technical and tactical minds. We look forward to building on the successful launch of Elite Soccer this season, and we will carry on providing some unique, compelling content into coaching across the leagues for coaches at all levels of the game."

    Sam Allardyce, LMA Committee member said;

    "Never before has the collective knowledge of our membership, with reference to coaching material, been available to those outside the professional game. It is a great product which provides some fascinating advice from my peers and I look forward to receiving a copy each month. This valuable resource is a practical tool, particularly for amateur and grass roots coaches, and it is rewarding to know that these coaches have the opportunity to recreate sessions we produce, with their own players."
    Kevin Barrow, Elite Soccer's publisher said: "The expertise of the LMA's members is beyond doubt, and we are extremely pleased to extend our partnership for a further two years - securing Elite Soccer's position as the football coaching industry's 'must read' publication."
