  • (1888PressRelease) August 08, 2020 - Snapper Rock, the fashion-forward family brand creating high-quality lifestyle beachwear made with UPF50+ technology that blocks 98% of harmful UVA and UVB rays, is delivering fun in the sun with the launch of its 2021 collection. The new collection sees Snapper Rock doubling the sustainable range to two Sustainable Swimwear Capsule Collections due to last season’s success. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the brand has also created face masks made from their signature swimwear fabric.

Snapper Rock’s new 2021 collection offers a variety of fun, fresh silhouettes in a gorgeous array of trendsetting prints and bold colors. Known for their signature designs like playful florals and timeless nautical prints, Snapper Rock’s 2021 line introduces all-new patterns like on-trend leopard prints, tropical fruits, boats, orcas, toucans and more. Due to the popularity of the surf suits, Snapper Rock introduces a version for the smallest of beach babes, featuring snaps for easy changing. Girls will love the new silhouettes and styles available in crop and bralette bikinis, one-shoulder tie swimsuits, kaftans, cover-ups, swim dresses and surf suits, the hottest athletic trend in swimwear. Boys can sport new boardshort looks in vintage surf inspired prints, along with best-selling volley boardshorts, and short and long sleeve rash tops. Additionally, the new collection features six matching daddy-and-me boardshort styles in all new prints for coordinated swim looks. The women’s line will continue to amplify the best-selling rash tops and swim dresses along with new patterns that match the family collections. Snapper Rock’s assortment of new accessories this season include reversible bucket hats for babies, vintage-inspired canvas bucket hats for girls and boys, cute sunglasses and more to complete any beach style.

Snapper Rock is also doubling its sustainable swimwear efforts with the launch of two Sustainable Swimwear Capsule Collections. The new collections come as response to the success of the brand’s first sustainable swimwear collection and solidify Snapper Rock’s continual commitment to making an impactful contribution to reducing environmental waste. This collection incorporates innovative, eco-friendly fabrics such as ECONYL and REPREVE®. An estimated 640,000 tons of used nets are left in the ocean every year, that are then collected and transformed into new ECONYL® nylon fiber for Snapper Rock’s rash tops, swimsuits and bikinis. REPREVE® yarn has been created from some of the 60 million plastic bottles that are discarded every day and the recycled polyester yarn is then transformed into Snapper Rock’s board shorts and lining for swimsuits and bikinis. The collections will be packaged in certified home compostable bags from The Better Packaging Co. and will also feature a Ziplock closure that allows for easy reuse for wet swimwear. By utilizing recycled materials, Snapper Rock hopes to reduce its consumption of non-renewable resources, reduce water and energy use, and help to clean up beaches and oceans from discarded waste. The sustainable collections is available in prints for the whole family like Tropical Punch, vibrant flowers that show nature at its brightest best, Opti Stripe, bold and stunning vertical designs, and Opti Boats, a playful nautical boat print in classic colors.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Snapper Rock has also recycled its high-tech signature fabric to create facemasks. The adjustable, breathable, quick-drying, and lightweight masks are UPF50+ and feature a double fabric layer for greater protection. Each mask includes a back slip where PM2.5 filters can be added as needed. PM2.5 filters are proven to effectively block most airborne particles – even the smaller nano particles. The masks are available in two packs for children ages 2-8 and kids 10+ in bold stripes, tropical designs and solids for back to school.

“For the 2021 collection, the Snapper Rock team drew a lot of our inspiration from our travels, experiences, our own families and what is happening around us in the big wide world of fashion,” said Liz Eglinton, Snapper Rock Founder. “We are thrilled to continue to provide Snapper Rock supporters with new prints and trend-setting designs that ensures the whole family is protected from the sun’s damaging UVA and UVB rays. It is exciting to be able to build on last year’s sustainable swimwear collection and come out with two new capsule collections for the family designs knowing we are helping to make an impactful change on the environment. In regard to COVID-19, and more countries requiring that face masks are to be worn, we knew that for kids to wear them, they needed to be fun, and have the perfect fit!”
