Slingshot Product Development brings on Sam Harris as the new head of industrial design. Sam strengthens an already stellar team with a focus on client service and growth.
- (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2011 - Sam Harris, former President and Founder of Form and Function, has joined Slingshot Product Development Group as our new Director of Industrial Design. Sam brings an impeccable history of exceptional client service and end user focused product design. He joins us with a vision of continuing the Slingshot tradition of delivering tailored product development programs from ideation through design, engineering, prototyping and manufacturing.
Sam is excited to create products where the design and engineering departments work collaboratively to achieve success in both creativity and implementation. Slingshot looks forward to the use of his 'professor hat' from his time spent teaching at Georgia Tech as he challenges those around him to continue to grow and develop new skills.
About Sam
As the newest member of the Slingshot team, Sam brings a fresh perspective and years of experience to the design staff. In his career, he has created and managed Industrial Design companies as well as teaching undergraduate ID studio courses at Georgia Tech. Through the years, he has worked on a wide range of projects from electronics enclosures to GPS rangefinders and battery chargers to skin therapy devices.
Married to wife Jody for 23 years, Sam is active in volunteering and mentorship focusing mostly on the Boy Scouts of America. An avid hiker, camper and family man, Sam has two sons, Noah, an Eagle Scout and EE major and Powell, a high school freshman who plays clarinet and hockey.
