  • (1888PressRelease) March 05, 2015 - Signalman Publishing is pleased to announce the release in paperback as well as an ebook for the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes & Noble nook, and the Apple iBookstore of "Marching to a Worthy Drummer: A Christian Layperson Speaks Out About the Holy Spirit" by Arthur Perkins of Eatonville, Washington.

Something drastic happened to the early Church that involved the tampering of its basic precepts and even the interpretation of Scripture. Lurking in the background almost from the beginning of the Church, it gained influence around the time that Constantine changed the status of the Church from a persecuted and repressed movement to a state religion.

This Christian nonfiction work addresses the root of this enormous error and its historic and ongoing debilitating effect on the Church. An alternative vision of God is presented to the reader, and its basic truth is examined in the light of Scripture, which the author embraces as inspired and inerrant in the original.

John McClure, president of Signalman Publishing stated, "Art has studied this fascinating subject - the nature of the Holy Spirit - for many years. In his well researched study, presented by a layman in layman's terms, he makes you think - and perhaps come to a greater understanding of God as represented by the Holy Spirit."

"Marching to a Worthy Drummer" (ISBN: 978-1-940145-43-3, Trade Paper, 340 pages, $16.99, FICTION/ Christian/Futuristic) from indie book publisher Signalman, is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble.com and wherever fine books are sold.

    About the Author
Arthur Perkins is an electrical engineer by training and a Christian at heart who takes seriously the commandment of Moses, repeated by Jesus, to "Love our God with all our hearts, souls and might." In honor of that love, Art and his wife Carolyn have devoted time to sharing Scripture with others in nursing and assisted-living homes. In the course of the nursing home activity, Art met the key figure in his novel Buddy. In the follow-on novels Cathy and Jacob, Art builds upon his adventures with Buddy in an end-time setting.

Art also has shared many of these experiences with his wife Carolyn. Since their retirement, they continue to build a repertoire of treasured memories out of their mutual interests and incredible adventures.

Art and Carolyn live on the foothills of Mount Rainier in Western Washington.
