  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) August 03, 2018 - From the poverty-stricken streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone, to the city streets of Atlanta, Ga. - comes Sierra Leone native Foren Boi. Like so many artists before him, Foren Boi dreamed of the day he'd become a rap sensation. However, the only problem that stood between him and his dream, was surviving the horrific Civil War in his country during the 90's.

Unlike the typical survival story told by most American hip-hop artist; Foren Boi hasn't raised in the ghetto of gang-infested American streets. Nor did he find means of accumulating street wealth from illegal activities to survive. The fuel to his survival simply was his upbringing in an impoverished country, which intensified by the lifestyle he'd seen portrayed by American hip-hop artists.

Although never driven by the flamboyant lifestyle that being a hip-hop artist brings, his dream to pursue music became his escape, while fighting to survive. And today, that dream has brought him out of Sierra Leone, and into the spotlight of the music industry.

Thousands of miles away from his native country, Foren Boi has stirred up enough noise, that he's now ready to make his American debut. With his highly anticipated single, "Give Luv 2 Me" - he delivers a song that is a personal expression of his past experiences in love while showcasing his ability to sing. Not much of a singer to say the least, but he makes his point well known throughout the hook, which is pretty catchy. And with all hip-hop songs, as it is with any song, it's always about the hook.

With "Give Luv 2 Me" currently available for pre-order, and available August 10th on all major streaming platforms, anticipation is building for the debut, as well as the Virtual Launch Party scheduled the same day. And it appears music industry executives are excited for what's to come.
