The award was presented by The CWC Group, during the 12th World XTL Summit 2012, which took place at the Waldorf Hilton, London on 21-23 May 2012. Shell and Qatar Petroleum, nominated by their peers in the gas, coal and biomass to liquids (XTL) industry, were recognised for their outstanding contribution to XTL innovation in the last 12 months and secured the award for their work on the Pearl GTL Project.
