  • (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2023 - SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published a Consumer Compact article looking at the importance of full vehicle over-the-air (OTA) testing in a world where consumers increasingly want connectivity while on the move.

Connection is important. Whether it’s infotainment, hazard avoidance or OTA updates to onboard systems, modern cars rely on antennae to improve safety and the user experience. A new vehicle could have up to ten antennae, each doing a different job. They must work effectively at all times or there is the risk entertainment or communications will become disrupted or, more seriously, the safety of the car will be put into jeopardy.

SGS’s Consumer Compact article looks at the challenges facing vehicle manufacturers and the importance of full vehicle OTA testing to ensure antennae work effectively.
