  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) April 27, 2013 - Alt Rock band Sevens Revenge took home the win on April 11th at the Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands Regional Finals at the Hard Rock Café Seattle. The band will represent the sound of the Pacific Northwest, made famous for acts like Nirvana and Candlebox, at the Hard Rock Rising Internationals starting April 22nd.

Sevens Revenge, a female-fronted five piece, competed against four other acts in the final Seattle regional round. The Hard Rock Café Battle of the Bands has continued to draw an international flurry of competing bands in 97 cities stretching across 8 countries. The Seattle competition boasted the most entrants in the global competition at 20 bands. Sevens Revenge won the regional final round.

"Without our friends, fans, and family we simply wouldn't have the momentum to move forward in a competition like this," commented frontwoman Dusti Seven on the band's Facebook fan page. Seven, who formed the band with wife and guitarist Kristen Cadenhead, is flanked by lead guitarist Scott Malone, bassist Cooper Stanley and drummer Ryan Fairchild. The Tacoma, WA band signed with Tin Star Records (Ave Vox Music Group Los Angeles) at a sold-out show on November of 2012 at Jazzbones in Tacoma, releasing their debut album "Distortion of Reality". The album's lead-out single "This Is Me" has been picked up for airplay across several states including major markets such as Los Angeles and into China.

"Tin Star Records is thrilled to have such a talented and powerful female-fronted presence on our docket," commented label co-owner / CEO Danielle Egnew, known for fronting all-female trio Pope Jane. "Sevens Revenge is the sound of the New Northwest. They'll do Seattle proud."

The band, which formed just over a year ago, was first signed by Maurice The Fish Records of Tacoma, WA and remains an artist affiliate of the expanding Northwest Label. The group has rocketed up the regional ladder and caught national attention with their emotionally charged video for single "This is Me". Directed by Egnew and shot across 8 locations in the Pacific Northwest, the dramatic subject matter and striking turn-of-the-century costuming catapulted the video into a Twitter flurry upon its release in February. The song has become an anthem for those who struggle with feeling like an outsider.

Susan Renville, Regional Director for the Tin Star Records Northwest Office, headed the street team who flooded the Hard Rock Rising Seattle Regional Finals. "The crowd was a sea of Sevens Revenge T-shirts. It was amazing. The fans are inspiring."

Tin Star Records is partnered with the legendary Shure microphone company and maintains offices in Los Angeles, CA, Sheridan, WY, and Tacoma, WA. The label is part of the Ave Vox Music Group network, owned by Egnew, alongside Maurice The Fish Records, located in Tacoma, WA.
