  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) May 15, 2014 - The Chamber named Window Interiors, founded by Sandi Saft, as Woman-Owned Business of the Year. In 2013, Window Interiors recorded its highest revenues since the recession and broadened its reach in providing window treatments and energy consulting for hundreds of businesses and commercial properties across Florida.

"We are incredibly honored to win this prestigious award. It is really a testament to our fine management team and everyone who works with Window Interiors,'' Saft said. "Our team is committed to safety, integrity, efficiency and customer service. Our business is built on solid relationships and outstanding work.''

Neil Solomon, chairman of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, said, "These awards show the strength of our business community in Seminole County and how businesses of all sizes make an impact. It was extremely tough to name winners this year - as all of our nominated companies are building great businesses and creating economic impact."

Saft, who started Window Interiors in 1989, is proud to have her national headquarters in Altamonte Springs. In the past year, she expanded both her project management and manufacturing facilities in Seminole County.

Window Interiors signature projects include the Dr. Philips Performing Arts Center, Patrick Air Force Base and Nemours Hospital. Over the years key clients include UCF, Valencia College, and Seminole State College, Florida Hospital / Adventist Health Care and several national restaurant groups. The company prides itself on working with local contractors and local fabricators and suppliers when possible to create as many jobs as they can for the Central Florida economy.

"This is an outstanding milestone for our 25th year,'' Saft said. "Being a chamber member for a number of years, I value the friendships and business connections and community support that helped our company grow.''

The winners were chosen from nearly three dozen nominees and were based on their business accomplishments, their impact on the Seminole County economy and their community involvement. Six community leaders and former award winners were part of the selection committee.
