  • (1888PressRelease) July 25, 2017 - In its mandate to prosper trade and investment, the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) conducts networking luncheons, trade seminars, and cocktail events, where the latter aims to feature eminent personalities that influence Philippine business up close and personal. These events present timely and relevant topics that affect foreign and local businesses as well as talks by government officials on programs significant to doing business.

Infrastructure development in the Philippines is of critical importance to regain and sustain high economic growth, improve the social living standards of the people and remove the impediments to international trade and investment. The Duterte administration recognizes the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) as an approach to invest resources for adequate road infrastructure, especially recognizing that government has less resources to invest on expressways.

In light of this, WTCMM presents Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar as the next distinguished speaker of Up Close and Personal. The said Networking Forum and Cocktails is scheduled on Thursday, July 27, 2017 and will tackle the significant role of infrastructure development in Philippine business and the economy.

The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWHP) will share his plans and programs outlining the different infrastructure projects under the Build! Build! Build! Program of the current administration.

The Manila WTC Club provides this forum to serve as an avenue to discuss the direction of DPWH in creating a more conducive environment for private businesses and generating more bankable projects.
