"If we continue at the rate we're going, we're all going to have to buy second hand spacesuits" he explains, "we all need to act now, and this album is one way that I'm doing my bit to save our planet"

This is the first project embarked upon by Second Hand Spaceman. The album itself has been a work in progress for the past 18 months and was self-written, -recorded and -produced; "The writing process took around 3 months. Then for the next 15 months it was a process of careful listening, evaluating, adding, taking away, sampling, resampling, distorting, stretching and mixing until I arrived at 10 tracks I was very happy with."

Featuring edgy electronic grooves, orchestral and ambient flavours, a host of synthesisers and a hint of hip hop, Second Hand Spaceman cites Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff and Massive Attack as some of his main influences.

Second Hand Spaceman's first single from the album, entitled "Nice Planet," comes with a delightful music video created in close collaboration with visionary Serbian director/animator Dusan Tatalovic.

"I've really enjoyed the collaboration with Dusan. We've never met in the real world, but we've developed a close working relationship and friendship. The video really has surpassed all my expectations!"

With a passion for the environment and helping to save the planet, Second Hand Spaceman aims to use his music to allow him to support charities across the world dedicated to saving the environment.

'Blast Off' is set to be released on 28th April 2017 via all major media providers, available now (from April 3rd 2017) to pre-order on iTunes and other providers.
