Main Street, Salinas, with a VIP Tequila Tasting at 3:00PM and General Admission at 5:00PM.

Last year, the Mariachi Festival was a hit, entertaining our community and helping to raise funds for programs to benefit our local youth. Once again, this special program will be a celebration of Mariachi music and culture, featuring internationally acclaimed mariachi bands to Salinas including Mariachi Mexicanisimo, Mariachi Nueva Generación and Mariachi Colima.

The Mariachi Festival celebrates the heritage, music, arts and beauty of Mexico. Mariachi music is a fundamental part of Mexican heritage and the music creates an atmosphere of cultural and community celebration. Attracting hundreds from across Salinas and the Monterey Peninsula, the Mariachi Festival is a community gathering for all ages.

"In a grand and innovating fashion, the National Steinbeck Center is bringing our community closer together and providing pride and identity to many residents who in turn will make our city, our country, our world a better place to live," said NSC Board Member Ricky Cabrera.

Proceeds from the Mariachi Festival will benefit the National Steinbeck Center to continue serving our community by offering programs promoting art and culture.
