  • (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2011 - Washington, USA - Justin T. Scully, a current full time student at Rutgers University, recently joined a movement that is solely dedicated to funding the construction of a memorial in honor of the heroes aboard Flight 93. Just weeks after the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, Scully made the decision to give to what he and many other patriotic American's consider a very worthy cause.

"I think everyone in my age group remembers exactly where they were on that morning. I remember my parents talking about the assassination of President Kennedy in a similar light. When something that is such a national tragedy happens like that, the emotional impact on every citizen is so great it makes it impossible to forget" said Scully.

Scully, like many others, wants to make sure future generations are educated about the attacks of September 11,2001. www.honorflight93.org is one website that makes it possible for young people like Scully to help make that a reality. The website is accepting donations of any amount, making it possible for anyone to have a part in raising money for such efforts and ideas such as the Flight 93 memorial.

"Even if you can only donate a few dollars you are still helping. With the social networking sites we have today, everyone has the ability to promote these organizations and their causes." said Scully. Frequently posting links on his Facebook page is just one of the ways Scully raises awareness of the memorial.

www.HonorFlight93.org is aiming to raise $10 million dollars for the memorial. They are teaming up with the National Parks Foundation Board of Directors who has pledged to match donations of up to 2 million dollars, thus doubling the impact of any contributions you can make.

"I realize that times are hard for everyone right now but this is something that I feel strong enough about that I am willing to make a personal sacrifice for a greater cause. If the least thing I accomplish from this is to encourage even one other person to make a donation, then it will all be worth it."
www.Honorflight93.org has drawn much attention, not only from college students such as Scully, but also former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush. The former statesmen recently attended and participated in a dedication ceremony for Flight 93.
